The preschool program, providing care for children ages six weeks to six years, represents an important introduction of our families to the RASG Hebrew Academy and is the strong foundation of an education of excellence.  Developmentally appropriate, striving to meet the needs of individual students, the Hebrew Academy preschool program is a process-oriented, hands-on approach to learning.  The children learn through direct interaction with their environment, on in which there is a natural, organic integration of Torah and secular studies.  Active participation in various mitzvot internalizes a love and respect for the Torah and its inherent values, as well as a closer connection with HaKadosh Baruch Hu.  The child's innate sense of wonder expands to incorporate an awareness of HaShem and an appreciation for the wondrous world He has entrusted to us.  Life cycle events, Shabbat and holiday celebrations develop within our children an identification with and a sense of responsibility to their school community, klal Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael.

The teacher as facilitator, role model, and guide assists each child in his/her own individual process of discovery and learning.  Our low teacher-child ratio fosters intimacy and creates a nurturing environment in which children can explore and experiment in the various classroom learning centers.  Opportunities for parent communication and involvement serve to strengthen and increase the congruence between goals, values, and beliefs of home and school.  Our standards of excellence are reflected by our prestigious NAEYC accreditation, a recognition shared by no other orthodox Jewish day school in Florida.  We are committed to providing a Jewish education to children of diverse backgrounds and needs, welcoming each family into the early childhood department and the Hebrew Academy family.
