National Honors Society

In order for a student to take part in the National Honor Society at Hebrew Academy, Fana Holtz High School the students have to accumulate extra community service hours above and beyond the yearly 20 hour minimum requirement. They must complete 30 community service hours per year. The students are also required to be peer tutors. Other requirements for becoming a member is that they must maintain an 92% unweighted average in each of their courses. The students must also exhibit good character and leadership qualities. Their nomination to the society, after adhering to the above requirements, is that they must be unanimously invited into the program from all the faculty and administrators. They may not have more than two referrals in the given year that they are nominated.  When the students are inducted in May there is a candle lighting ceremony & brunch for current & inducted students & parents.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email the NHS director: Mrs. Titrza Schapiro at tschapiro@rasg.org.
