Edline Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Edline Activation Code?
To keep your Edline Account information secure, your new Edline account is protected by an "activation code" until you log in for the first time and select your own screen name and password.

How do I get to the Edline website?
To open Edline, go to www.edline.net or from our school website, select Parent Log In from the Edline tab under Parents.

How do I use my Activation Code to set up an Edline Account?
When you first go into Edline, select "Click here if you have a new activation code" under "Activate an Account". Enter your Parent Activation Code in the "Activation Code" field. Press Enter.

Your child's name followed by the word Parent will appear below. Press "Activate This Code". Edline's "Privacy Policy and Terms of Use" will display. Click "I agree".

Follow the remaining steps to create your Edline Screen Name and Password.  During the Activation process, it will ask if it's a New Account or Combine Account.  Choose "New Account" if this is the first time you are creating an Edline account.  If you have already created an Edline account, click "Combine Accounts" to add your child to your existing account. 

Remember to enter your email (optional), since teachers will frequently use Edline's Email feature to communicate with parents. If you forget to enter your email during the activation process, you can enter your email after you successfully activate your account by selecting "My Account" and "Manage Account" from the left hand side of your Edline Home Page.

On the last activation page, there are Student/Parent Quick Start Guides.  Click "Done" (top of screen) at this point, since you can easily use Edline's User-Friendly "Help" link at any time to read or print the guide to take full advantage of Edline's features

What if I have more than one child?
Parent accounts are special because they can be linked to one or more students, allowing parents to see their own information as well as their children's information.  Parents who have more than one child at the Hebrew Academy will receive additional parent activation codes (one for each child).

Enter your second child's activation code following the same procedure above. When it asks you if it's a New Account or Combine Account, click "Combine Account" to add your child to your existing account.

Repeat the process for each child you have.

Can I add more than one email to my parent account?
Yes you can. When you log into Edline, the first screen that displays is the Email Settings screen. Click the "Add an Email Address button". You can also add additional email addresses by selecting "My Account", then "Manage Account" from the left hand side of your Edline Home Page.
